We’re starting a new theme in the Art Studio this month, it’s called ROCKTOBER. Our Sculpture Class took the theme to the max and had a lot of fun doing it! Dean took the participants out for a hike to find various rocks; they then came back to the studio and created sculptures by balancing their rocks into beautiful formations. Eye-Hand coordination, fine motor skills, creative thinking and deductive reasoning, along with problem solving skills were all employed. Something so simple proved to be exceptionally rewarding.
