It is with great pleasure as the Mayor of the Township of Livingston to celebrate one of the most impactful organizations in Livingston, the Jewish Service for the Developmentally Disabled (JSDD) on the occasion of its Annual Gala. I wish you many more years of success in working towards creating a diverse and inclusive community for all. Every year the special relationship between JSDD and Livingston strengthens, and I love the fact that JSDD calls Livingston their home!

JSDD has outperformed in supporting the developmentally disabled, from providing families and their children residential services in the community, to the WAE (Wellness, Arts & Enrichment) Center, which inspires members to learn through creativity and art, showcasing artist’s work at the Heidi Gallery, offering therapeutic services for those in need of occupational, physical, and speech therapy, and using technology to improve the quality of individuals with special needs.

I would like to personally congratulate Lois Rose as the very first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement
Award and Marsha Atkind as the first Community Impact Award recipient, so well deserved. As a past recipient of an award from JSDD, I understand the tremendous honor it is to be recognized for doing what you love to do. Congratulations!
