Shabbat Zoom Gathering – Friday, July 3, 2020
Celebrating Shabbat via Zoom lead by Judaic Coordinator, Hagit Oren, has become a wonderful community building ritual. All JSDD residents are energized to welcome the Sabbath each week with their friends in other homes. Last week, Rachel recited the prayer for lighting the candles and Adam followed with the blessing over the grape juice. Together each resident said the blessing over the Challah and then all recited the prayer for the sick.
Hagit provided a lesson on the July 4th holiday with the help of an educational video.
The gathering came to an end with wishes to all and their families for health and happiness.
Hagit is delighted to be coordinating these Zoom interactive Shabbat sessions as a way of keeping everyone connected through a positive and hopeful shared experience.
