As is the custom on the last Thursday of each month, WAE members reveal their work, entertain, and discover what each person has been doing in their respective cohorts and classes! Thursday April 24th was a big day, as it coincided with “Bring Your Kid to Work Day”, and the center had many visitors which added to the energy and appreciation of the crowd. Theatre and Music classes collaborated on performance to Abba’s “Dancing Queen”, there were solos in both dance and song with one of our visiting “kids” belting out a tune for the group. The WAE Beyond Movement class did a presentation and the Digital Art Lab did a special reveal of all of the work that has been created in the lab, over the past month.
These showcases are an opportunity to bring everyone together to learn more about the talents, interests and skills that each member is cultivating and learning to express. The facilitators who work to support, challenge and inspire each member in ways that are meaningful, and individuals are truly amazing in the work that they generate. The WAE Center community is rich in talent, camaraderie and dedication!
